Nothing beats being treated like a queen for a day. For most brides the queen like treatments lasts for over 72 hours (if she's really lucky!). I was recently treated like a queen when I received an invitation to experience "A Day In the Life of a Mandarin Bride" at the Mandarin Oriental Atlanta. I along with several wedding planners (I was the only blogger!) got the opportunity to spend 24 hours at the 5-star hotel, complete with spa treatment, in-room breakfast, tour of the hotel and residences and lunch. We were given the VIP treatment and I truly felt like a queen!

As my luck would have it I arrived late due to Atlanta traffic. The spa staff was very understanding and fit me in so I could still receive my much needed massage. I loved every minute of it! After my massage I met up with a few of the other wedding planners and we spent some time in the sauna and finally the hot tub. It was a new experience for some of us, but the time in the heat and water relaxed our muscles and cleared our minds.

I went back to my room to meditate and just enjoy the beauty of my room. The furnishing, flat screen television, and the bathroom...I just stood and looked at the tub, waiting to fill it with bubbles and enjoy the quiet. I was forced to leave by beautiful room because we had an appointment with our hostesses, Mica Louis and Vildana Kurtovic (Catering Manager and Public Relations Coordinator) in the Taipan Lounge. The lounge was amazing. We enjoyed homemade hummus and house chips, flatbread, sliders, spicy wings, and drinks to order. I had a mock-tail (I think all the other ladies wanted to try it!) that was like nothing I had ever tasted. Delicious!

After a glorious nights rest in the king sized bed complete with overstuffed pillows (Just the way I like them), I enjoyed my in-room breakfast - eggs, turkey bacon, potatoes, fruit, croissants, juice, coffee...need I say more? I was definitely in breakfast heaven. Because of the generous potions I couldn't possibly eat it all, but I ate as much as my stomach would let me.

I check out and met up with out hostesses and other guest for a tour of the hotel. Nothing really prepared me for the event space. The furnishing were simply beautiful in the lobby area of the 2nd floor, so I knew the other spaces would be as well. Each of the meeting rooms and ballroom had a unique element to them. Smaller than other luxury hotels in the area, the event spaces were nonetheless just a beautiful.

What I enjoyed must was the attention to detail and the intimacy factor that we all felt as we toured the hotel. When you have impeccable service and know that your needs will be met, you will quickly overlook the seemingly smallness of the space.
